- On the day of your procedure, please report to the hospital's main lobby reception desk and ask for directions to the Patient Access Center.
- Please bring your insurance card(s), photo ID, and/or driver’s license.
- You will receive a local anesthetic for this procedure and will not be sedated, so you may drive yourself to and from the procedure if you choose to do so.
- You may eat a light meal prior to this procedure.
- Unless otherwise directed, take all medications on time.
- Before you come in for the treatment, take a bath or shower. After you've finished showering, don't use any lotions, creams, deodorants, or perfumes.
- You may notice some redness, bruising, or minor pain at the incision site after the surgery.
- Remove the dressing the day after the procedure. If there are steri-strips, leave them in place.
- You may take a shower 48 hours after your procedure.
- If you notice any signs of infection, including pus, swelling, warm to touch or experience extreme discomfort, please call at 201-432-7837.
- Your follow-up appointment should be 7-10 days after the procedure for wound check. Refer to the follow-up appointment date and time given to you in your discharge paperwork.
