As with any procedure, there are few risks associated with pacemaker placement which include: 

• Infection where the pacemaker was implanted
• Allergic reaction to the dye or anesthesia used during your procedure
• Swelling, bruising, or bleeding at the generator site, particularly if you're using blood thinners.
• Near the pacemaker, there may be damage to your blood vessels or nerves.
• Collapsed lung
