An EP study, like any other surgery, comes with a few risks, including:

  • Bleeding or infection at the site where catheter is introduced
  • Damage to the blood vessels
  • Puncture of your heart
  • Damage to your heart valves
  • Damage to your heart's electrical system
  • Blood clots in your legs or lungs
  • Stroke or heart attack
