What is Amazon? 

Amazon is an online store where you can buy almost anything you can think of. You can use it to find books, clothes, toys, gadgets, and even food! Amazon has millions of products from different sellers all around the world. Once you find a product that you want, you can order it and it will ship directly to your door. This makes online shopping extremely convenient!

Creating an Account

To start shopping on Amazon, you'll need to create an account. Here's how you can do it:

Step 1: Go to the Amazon website (www.amazon.com) on a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

Step 2: Look for the "Account & Lists" button on the top right corner of the page and click on it.

Step 3: On the next page, click on "Create your Amazon account."

Step 4: Fill in the information they request, like your name, email address, and password. Make sure to choose a password that you can remember but is also secure.  After you've filled everything in, click on "Continue" at the bottom of the page.

Step 5: You may need to check your email for a confirmation link. 

Step 6: Once your account is confirmed, you're ready to go shopping!

Using Amazon

Now that you have your account set up, let's learn how to use Amazon to find items.

a. Searching for Items: At the top of the Amazon page, you'll see a search bar. Type in what you're looking for, like "Lego set" or "running shorts." Then hit Enter or click on the magnifying glass icon. Amazon will show you lots of results related to what you searched for.

b. Product Pages: When you find something you like, click on it to see more details. On the product page, you'll find information about the item, like its price, pictures, and description. You can also see what other people think about it by reading their reviews.

c. Adding Items to your Cart: If you decide you want to buy something, click on the "Add to Cart" button. The item will be saved in your shopping cart until you're ready to buy it.

d. Checking Out: When you've finished shopping, go to your cart by clicking on the shopping cart icon. Here, you can review the items you want to buy and make any changes if needed. 

Then, click on "Proceed to Checkout." Follow the steps to enter your shipping address, choose a payment method, and complete your order.
