People of all ages can be affected by the novel coronavirus. However, elderly people appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill.

 The virus has not been detected in breast milk; however we do not know whether mothers with COVID-19 can transmit the virus via breast milk.

 

Should someone who is immunocompromised wear a mask?

Everyone should wear the mask but if you are immunocompromised because of an illness or treatment you should take extra precautions as you are at more risk of developing the disease.

The CDC says "older adults" and people with serious chronic medical conditions "are at higher risk of getting very sick from this illness."Anyone over 60 is an older adult

We do not have information about susceptibility of pregnant women to COVID-19. Pregnant women experience immunologic and physiologic changes which might make them more susceptible to viral respiratory infections, including COVID-19.
