In September 2005, a singular entity called Mount Sinai Heart was established. It is dedicated to treating cardiac, thoracic, and vascular disease of patients in our community and around the world. Mount Sinai Heart offers advanced technology merged with New York’s leading cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, and expert cardiac nursing.

The resources of this interdepartmental coalition are vast. They include the full range of technological innovations in noninvasive cardiovascular imaging, catheterization, interventional angiography, electrophysiology, cardiothoracic surgery, anesthesiology, and nursing. The focus of Mount Sinai Heart is on health promotion, disease prevention, and rehabilitation as well as treatment of the person and family as a whole.

The goal of Mount Sinai Heart is to provide the highest quality nursing care to our patients who seek treatment for cardiac diseases including diagnosis, interventional and surgical procedures, imaging, and overall prevention.
