You must stop consumption of all solid foods 12 hours before and liquids 6 hours before the procedure. In case you have sleep apnea for which you have been using a CPAP mask, remember to bring the mask and the machine along without fail.

Please inform your doctor about all the medications you are taking and any allergies you may have. Medications may include blood thinners or antiplatelet agents and/or if you have diabetes and insulin they may have to be adjusted. Discuss with your doctor if you have any pacemaker or implanted electromedical devices, major heart or lung condition, past history of having undergone any stomach or bowel surgery. If you have any other questions, bring them up with the doctor or nurse. Make sure you take the prescribed drugs on the day of the procedure with a sip of water after discussion with your physician.
