The symptoms of cyclic vomiting syndrome often begin in the morning and are characterized by:
Three or more recurrent episodes of vomiting beginning around the same time and ending at a similar time.
Various intervals between episodes of ordinary health without nausea.
Intense nausea and sweating before an episode begins.
Other signs and symptoms during a vomiting episode include:
- Diarrhea
- Abdominal pain
- Dizziness
- Sensitivity to light
- Headache
- Pale skin
- Extreme thirst
- Retching or gagging
