Antiplatelet medications prevent platelets in your blood from clumping together to form clots. The four most commonly prescribed are Aspirin, Plavix (clopidogrel), Effient (prasugrel), and Brilinta (ticagrelor). Plavix, Effient, and Brilinta are often prescribed in combination with aspirin.
